Carl Crystle delos Reyes, Miss South East Asia 2010
Carl Crystle delos Reyes from the Philippines is the new Miss South East Asia 2010! She won the title last March 7, 2010 at the DBS Auditorium in Singapore. The 20-year old Tourism student from De La Salle University, Dasmarinas, Cavite was chosen over contestants from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, China, Korea and Laos.
Aside from the title of Miss South East Asia 2010, Carl Crystle delos Reyes won a thousand Singapore dollars, a trophy, sash and crown.
Although the pageant only involves two handfuls of nations, it is a noteworthy event; South East Asia is a powerhouse group and an event like Miss South East Asia is a wonderful way for South East Asian nations to get together and bond – minus much of the politics of course!!! This year’s beauty pageant was held in Singapore from March 5 to March 7, 2010.

This Laguna grrrrrrl who is 5’7″ tall, was handpicked by Singaporean pageant organizers to represent the Philippines after she was recommended by her manager Ferdz Custodio of Artistudio.
Now that she has proven herself in Miss South East Asia, Carl Crystle delos Reyes is considering joining next year’s Bb. Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) beauty pageant and will focus on training for that once she graduates from university this October. Meantime, she is in Virginia, USA, doing 4-months of OJT (on-the-job-training), to fulfill her college requirements.
The Miss South East Asia 2010 is not the first pageant for Carl Crystle delos Reyes. She was one of my Top 13 Picks in Miss Earth Philippines 2009 (but was unplaced) and had competed in another international pageant in Las Vegas where she came in as one of the runners-up.
